Methodology

Our proprietary M&A and search methodologies are based on years of inside-the-industry experience. Structured, efficient and proven, our methodology for both M&A and search is built on a three-step process comprising:

STEP 1:  PERSONAL INTERVIEW & ASSESSMENT

We’ll discuss all aspects of your firm or your personal objectives, driving toward a comprehensive assessment of:

  • Your firm’s sale and/or merger objectives
  • Your firm’s requirements for a new partner or other senior member
  • Your own marketability, if you’re searching for a new opportunity

STEP 2:  STRATEGIC ANALYSIS

Following agreement to proceed, a three-month exclusivity period begins with an in-depth tactical review session. Your firm’s profitability, partner and staff performance metrics and historic revenues will all be considered against desired objectives. Your own performance history and market value will be factored into a full profile.

STEP 3:  RF MATCHING SYSTEM

We have close relationships with many of the industry’s most successful people and firms. Access to these key players is one of the most significant benefits we offer our clients.

Our People

It seems fitting that a company advising CPAs and CPA firms on success strategies would have a CPA at the helm. When you work with RF Resources, you’ll work one-on-one with founder and fellow CPA Robert Fligel. Fligel, along with a handpicked team of advisors, brings decades of professional accounting experience to the table.  This in-depth industry knowledge coupled with an exclusive focus on the NY metro market allow for a first-rate standard of service that is truly unique.

Robert Fligel, Founder

Robert Fligel has experienced accounting from a multitude of angles. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Robert began his accounting career providing audit and tax services at a New York City CPA firm. He went on to become an Audit Manager at a Fortune 500 firm, associate at a national search and recruiting firm and Director of Human Resources for a “Big 4” accounting firm.

In his first go-round at entrepreneurship, Robert co-founded what would become one of New York’s largest and most successful executive search firms. In 2004, he launched RF Resources. He is an active member in the New York State Society of CPAs, the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, and other professional organizations.

Over the course of his career, Robert has placed countless partners and senior professionals in CPA firms, Fortune 500 and privately held companies, and consulted on numerous firm mergers and acquisitions.
